Teal Sapphire Anniversary Cluster Ring
Created to celebrate a 20th wedding anniversary, this bespoke sapphire cluster ring began with a love of colour.
After seeing another teal sapphire I had worked with, the client got in touch to explore creating a significant ring of her own. Five different green, blue and teal sapphires were brought in for consideration, each with its own character and subtle shift in colour. The final choice was not instant. We circled between favourites, compared them carefully, and returned to the stone that ultimately felt just right.
At the centre of the ring sits a natural 1.83ct mixed cut oval sapphire. Its colour is beautifully complex, with a crisp, deep Santa Maria-like blue through the centre and touches of seafoam tourmaline green at each end. It is an extraordinary gemstone, full of movement and personality.
The sapphire is surrounded by twelve natural round brilliant cut diamonds in a classic shared claw cluster setting. A platinum setting provides strength and brightness around the stones, while the yellow gold band adds warmth and softness to the design.
The intention was always to create a ring with classical proportions and lasting elegance. The band needed to feel solid without overwhelming the design, and every detail was refined so the finished piece would feel balanced, graceful and enduring.
Created as an anniversary piece and intended to become an heirloom, this ring was also made to be worn and enjoyed now. A beautiful reminder that significant jewellery can hold both celebration and everyday joy.
