Inherited Amethyst Solitaire Ring
Not every special piece begins with a search for the perfect gemstone.
This bespoke ring was created around an inherited amethyst, originally part of an antique hunting brooch that had been treasured within the family for many years. While redesigning inherited jewellery often involves reimagining both the materials and the meaning behind a piece, in this case the gemstone itself held everything the client loved - its colour, generous size and connection to the past.
Rather than competing with the stone, the design was intentionally restrained. A handcrafted solitaire setting allows the amethyst to remain the focus, transforming a rarely worn heirloom into a ring that can once again become part of everyday life.
Elegant, timeless and quietly confident, this piece demonstrates how the simplest designs can sometimes create the greatest impact.
